Mayor distributes `16 lakh cash incentives to students
Mayor Abdul Aziz distributed cash incentives of Rs 16 lakh to the students who excelled in the recent SSC and Intermediate examinations Participating in the Independence Day celebrations at Nellore Municipal Corporation office here on Wednesday, he said that the corporation would allocate funds for educational prospects of students who are from weak financial background
Nellore: Mayor Abdul Aziz distributed cash incentives of Rs 16 lakh to the students who excelled in the recent SSC and Intermediate examinations. Participating in the Independence Day celebrations at Nellore Municipal Corporation office here on Wednesday, he said that the corporation would allocate funds for educational prospects of students who are from weak financial background.
Students have to utilise the opportunity for achieving their goals, he said and added 42 students have secured 10/10 GPA in first year Intermediate Public Examinations which is being run by the Nellore Municipal Corporation for the first time in the state. He also distributed Rs 10,000 cash prize each to seven students who got good marks in SSC exams from schools located in the corporation limits.
