Rajamahendravaram: Ban on plastic usage in the city came into force from Wednesday. The municipal corporation enforced the ban to make cultural capital of the state as a plastic-free city.

As part of it, municipal corporation conducted awareness programmes with all sections in the city and finally conducted an awareness rally in the city two days ago.

The corporation is very much particular to implement plastic ban in the city effectively. As many as 10 special teams were formed to check the implementation of plastic ban.

Reviewing the arrangements with the corporation officials here on Wednesday, Sumit Kumar said that the respective team leaders should visit the divisions allotted to them during two hours in morning and evening daily. Any lapses in this regard will be viewed seriously, he added.

The divisions allotted for the officials--GVGSV Prasad-city planner--divisions allotted-40,41,42,45 and 46. N Srinivas-assistant city planner--43,44,47,48 and 49, Ch Srinivasa Rao-manager--1,2,3,4, and 50. P Satya Kumari, executive engineer-1,9,10 and 11. Ch S N Raju-assistant city planner--12,13,14,15 and 16.

Sailaja Valli--secretary--17,18,19, 20 and 27. T Panduranga Rao- executive engineer--5,7,8,32,37 and 38. KBRR Kumar--revenue officer--33,34,53 and 56. YV Krishna Rao-executive engineer--27,28,30 and 31 and T Raja Gopala Rao-deputy commissioner-21,22,23, 24, 25 and 26 divisions.
