Workshop on Data Analytics begins in Vijayawada
The three day workshop on Data Analytics commenced at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology here on Thursday
Vijayawada: The three-day workshop on ‘Data Analytics’ commenced at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology here on Thursday.
The inaugural speech was delivered by resource person Amar Sharma, HoD, Computer Science Engineering.
Sharma spoke about the evolution of Big Data. He said the evolution started from a challenge of finding the required data from ocean of data which has to be stored safely with security.
He explained various problems in storage of large data and how scientists took it as a challenge before arriving the development of a new technology called Big Data.
He explained about Big Data and said data will be capture, store, analyze, share and update unstructured data.
He also narrated that Big Data was used in real life applications where impeccable amount of data keeps on updating in social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram and other social media.
He said that the continuous data was managed by NoSQL and Hadoop. Dr A Sudhir Babu, Dr MV Rama Krishna, D Srilakshmi and N V Ramana Gupta and students were present.
