Andhra Pradesh government deployed disaster management forces to take rescue operations in the rain-ravaged Kerala. Nearly 70 officials including swim instructors, 12 motor boats, boat mechanic and other safety utilities were sent to Kerala by a special flight.

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu spoke to his Kerala counterpart P Vijayan and enquired the situation.

Naidu extended all help to the Kerala government.
