Rampachodavaram: Deputy Chief Minister and home minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said that the state government was giving top priority to make tribal unemployed youth literates and also get them employed by imparting training in various skills.

Inaugurating a skill development centre for the selected tribal youth for Staff Selection Commission’s general duty constables (CRPF) here on Sunday, Chinarajappa said that 1,210 unemployed youth from 11 mandals in the Agency were selected to get training in the centre.

He congratulated police department for starting the training centre which benefits a lot to the tribal unemployed youth and complimented district collector Karthikeya Misrha and superintendent of police Vishal Gunni for their endeavour in this regard.

The candidates, if successful in the Staff Selection Committee tests, will get a monthly salary of Rs 31,000 along with other allowances and other facilities as per rules, he said. ONGC and various departments are extending their help in this regard.

The home minister advised the students to come out successfully in the national level selections and concentrate on proving their mettle during training period.

Rajappa said steps were taken to install many cell towers in the Agency area to deal with communication problem and basic facilities would be provided in the agency area.

Collector Mishra said an amount of Rs 700 crore was allocated for the construction of roads under the purview of ITDAs of Rampachidavaram and Chintoor in the Agency area. Fifty Jio cell towers would also come up in the Agency area shortly. He said the Central government had issued notification to fill 55,000 general duty constable posts and it was an opportunity to tribal unemployed youth to get jobs.

Superintendent of police Vishal Gunni said at least 600 tribal unemployed youth would get jobs in CRPF, and the police department would give quality training to them.

Commandent Prasanna Kumar, Rampachodavaram and Chintoor ITDA project officers Nishanat Kumar, Abhishikth Kumar, sub-collector Dr V Vinod Kumar, ASP Rahul Dev Singh and many others were present.
