Guntur: Leaders under the banner of Nirudyoga Ikyavedika conducted maha dharna at Collectorate here on Tuesday, demanding that the government fill vacant posts in various government departments.
Addressing the gathering, the former MLC KS Lakshmana Rao said that there were two lakh vacancies of various posts in the government departments and demanded that the government fill the vacancies immediately and provide employment to the unemployed youth.
He reminded that the Minister for HRD had assured that the government would issue DSC notification. So far the government did not release DSC notification.
He wanted continuation of Group-2 posts in the same cadre and cancel the GO No 622. He urged the government to fill vacant Group-1 and 2 posts.
He demanded that the government release notification to fill 20,000 posts for which Cabinet had given its nod and demanded an IAS officer as APPSC Chairman.
