Kadapa: Tension prevailed at Villupuram village of Tamil Nadu with the villagers restricted the entry of Kadapa police into their village as they tried to arrest one accused in connection with a murder case of forest watcher in Nallamala forest recently.

Heated exchange of words took place between the police and villagers when the later opposed entry of police into the village. However, the problem solved with Kadapa SP Babujee Attada taken it to notice of Tamil Nadu police administration.

Speaking to The Hans India, SP Babujee Attada said that during combing operations by forest department at Lankamalleswara forest, a forest watcher P Ashok Kumar was killed by red sanders smugglers on July 25.

Police registered case against one smuggler responsible for killing Ashok Kumar with stone. In this connection, a 10-member team of police officials went to Villupuram village to arrest the smuggler in the wee hours of Sunday.
