Vigilance sleuths seize adulterated snacks

Visakhapatnam: The Vigilance and Enforcement sleuths conducted a raid on Amrutha Food Agency at Tunglam village near Gajuwaka here on Monday and found that the management was adulterating various snack items with the inferior quality raw material and for not maintaining hygiene and cleanliness at the premises.

The officials seized the adulterated snack items and sent the samples for testing. Superintendent of Vigilance and Enforcement D Koteswara Rao said the department would take stringent action on the food making units which damage the public health. He advised all the agencies to maintain cleanliness at workplaces in food processing units and equipment.
