ACB traps civic body’s bill collector Shaik Mohammed Sharif

Kurnool: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught Kurnool Municipal Corporation’s Bill Collector Shaik Mohammed Sharif red-handed on Saturday while accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from one D Jahangir Kasim for fixing a tax amount to his house, besides transferring of ownership.
Sharif asked Kasim to pay Rs 7,000 for doing official favour. But, Kasim agreed to pay Rs 6,000 and lodged a complaint with the ACB.
DSP ACB C Jaya Rama Raju said that they trapped Sharif near Radha Krishna Hospital in Prakash Nagar here.
The ACB registered a case against Sharif. He would be produced in the ACB Court for further action, the DSP stated.
