Vijayawada civic chief directs officials to improve greenery
As part of the city inspection, VMC Commissioner J Nivas inspected the National Highway from Benz Circle to Ramavarappadu Ring on Thursday He observed the greenery on either side of the highway and on the service road, and said that the greenery should attract the people and ordered the concerned department to provide proper landscaping
Vijayawada: As part of the city inspection, VMC Commissioner J Nivas inspected the National Highway from Benz Circle to Ramavarappadu Ring on Thursday. He observed the greenery on either side of the highway and on the service road, and said that the greenery should attract the people and ordered the concerned department to provide proper landscaping.
He directed officials to prepare a plan to plant attractive saplings on either side of the highway and also on the central median. He ordered the workers to clean the greenery area and remove unwanted plants, give support to the saplings to grow straight.
He further said that new saplings should be planted in the place of dried plants. He told the workers to paint the plants green and trim them and clean the weeds regularly and water the plants. Executive engineers Prabhakar, J Srinivas, Horticulture department officer Pradeep Kumar and others were present.
