Tirupati: SETVEN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) S Lakshmi has stressed on the need for protecting the traditional arts for future generations and also to inculcate the feeling of national integrity among the youth.

Speaking at the district-level youth festival held at SV College of Music and Dance here on Saturday, the CEO said that the first prize winners at divisional-level festivals held at Tirupati, Chittoor and Madanapalle have participated in the district-level event.

Competitions were held in 15 events like Kuchipudi dance, Bharatanatyam, folk music, folk dance and Carnatic music.

The winners in district-level youth festival will participate in the state-level festival.

SV College of Music Principal Jamuna Rani, former Principal Ch Prabhavati, Associate Professor at Government PG College, Puttur Dr Aruna Kumari and others participated.
