Tirumala: On the second day of Navaratri Brahmotsavams, Thursday, the processional deity, Lord Malayappa Swamy flanked by his two consorts, took out a celestial ride on Chinna Sesha Vahanam on the Mada streets and mused the devotees, who had gathered in the galleries in huge numbers to witness the seva.

The procession of Lord Malayappa Swamy with His consorts adorned with dazzling ornaments, mounted on richly decorated Chinna Sesha Vahanam was a grand feast for devotees while the cultural teams putting up an energetic showcase of devotional extravaganza added more to the spiritual ambience.

Lord Malayappa, donning the role of Sri Krishna, rode the five-hooded golden vahanam in all His majesty. The highlight of the cultural pageant at the Chinna Sesha Vahanam on Mada streets today was the display of God Surya pageant, besides the peacock and vessel dancers. The cultural display got up in the morning of Navaratri Brahmotsavams enthralled the devotees, who waited in the galleries of Mada streets braving the hot sun.

The team of Garudadrivasa Bhajana Mandali of Rajahmundry led by Hemalatha displayed all the Rashis of Surya family comprising of seven horses. The water pot (Binde dance) displayed by six artists was captivating.

The bamboo dolls dance and the kolatas by 32 artistes of Srimadnanda Nilayavasa team of Bengaluru thrilled the devotees. Similarly, the peacock dance by 28 artistes of the Nritya Drishya Trust of Bengaluru led by Darshani Manjunatha was the highlight of the cultural bonanza in the morning sevas of the day at Mada streets.
