Kakinada: BJP official spokesperson Tummala Padmaja strongly objected to the comments of Congress minister from Punjab and former test cricketer Navajyot Singh Siddhu praising Pakistan.

In a press release issued here on Wednesday, the BJP leader said that the comments on languages spoken in India, particularly in South India were not expected from a senior leader who served as both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha member prior to entering into Punjab state politics.

Padmaja wondered how a senior politician like Sidddhu make such comments after visiting Pakistan for swearing in ceremony of former international cricketer Iran Khan as Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The BJP leader alleged that Siddhu’s comments on South India and the languages spoken here was highly objectionable as Hindi was not spoken here.

Padmaja reminded the Congress leader that in Indian Union, the states were formed on language basis.

She demanded that Siddhu tender apologies for such comments.
