Former combined Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker Kavali Pratibha Bharathi admitted in a private hospital in Visakhapatnam after she suffered from heart stroke.
Pratibha Bharathi came to Visakhapatnam to meet her father, who is former Justice Punnaiah who is undergoing treatment in the hospital. After meeting her father, Pratibha Bharathi complained that she is suffering from pain in the chest. The doctors shifted her into ICU and started treatment. Her condition is said to be critical.
Pratibha Bharathi is one of the senior leaders in the TDP. She is the first woman minister in Late NT Rama Rao's cabinet in 1983. She is from Srikakulam districts.
