As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities, the Divis Laboratories Limited DLL, a leading bulk drug manufacturing industry, is supporting a team consists of 25 specialised doctors from team Operation Rainbow Canada to perform operations for children suffering with cleft lip problem
Visakhapatnam: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities, the Divi’s Laboratories Limited (DLL), a leading bulk drug manufacturing industry, is supporting a team consists of 25 specialised doctors from team Operation Rainbow Canada to perform operations for children suffering with ‘cleft lip’ problem. The operations will take place till October 27 at Princess Durru Shehvar Children's and General Hospital, Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, DLL Director Madhusudana Rao mentioned that approximately 35,000 children born with a cleft lip or palate annually in India shows the severity of the problem.
The people from below poverty line are not able to afford the cost as each operation costs Rs 1.30 lakh and team Rainbow Canada is offering at free of cost. Over 90 children below 15 years of age from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states are registered for operations, Madhusudan Rao informed.
