Restore past glory to Rayalaseema

Kadapa: Speakers at the meeting organised on the occasion of unveiling of book Asthitwam- Idisangathi written by senior politician and former Home Minister Dr M V Mysura Reddy here on Saturday stressed the need for reviving the past glory to Rayalaseema as it is currently lagging behind on all fronts. They also called upon people of Rayalaseema to raise their voice against injustice and regional imbalance in the interest of bringing post glory to the region.
Addressing the meeting, High Court Judge Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy who unveiled the book, said that he was delighted to participate in the event as Rayalaseema is known for its great culture and the people of their region for their love and affection and hospitality. Former Minister C Ramachandraiah said despite several people from the region rising to great heights in various fields including politics, judiciary, police and education, the region failed to witness much progress.
There has not been much improvement in the socio-economic status of the people, he regretted. He further pointed out that the region only became famous for its faction culture due to lack of unity among the leaders.
