Tirupati: AP State Mahila Congress will submit a report on women issues including initiatives to be taken up for the benefit of the women to Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
These issues put forth by state Mahila Congress will be taken up for discussion in the Congress national executive committee meeting to be held in New Delhi on November 1 and 2 for incorporating them in the Congress party manifesto for the 2019 elections.
According to AP Mahila Congress in-charge Sudha and state president Sunkara Padmasri, who were here in connection with Mahila Congress State Executive meeting held here on Monday, district-level meetings of Women Congress are being held to discuss issues and receive suggestions before the finalisation of the report.
They claimed that a favourable political situation is brewing in the state for the Congress party as people are seething with anger on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his betrayal of the state with regard to Special Category Status and also not happy with TDP government performance.
