Nellore: A trader in city was shot dead by assailants late on Saturday night and the incident created panic among people. Very recently, a realtor was killed in a busy commercial area at Atmakur Bus Stand brutally.
The latest incident indicate involvement of professional killers. According to sources, some unidentified people, wielding guns, attacked trader Mahendra Singh who was running Komal Power Tools in Fathekhanpet area.
Nellore City Police announced red alert in city and collected technical data to investigate the case. They collected CCTV footage and other sources to get clues. It may be recalled that trader Mahendra Singh, 44, who was from Rajasthan, is running a machine tools business at Fathekhanpet in the city.
On Saturday night, while he was on his way to home after closing the shop, unidentified persons fired three to four rounds of bullets on him and fled from the place. Mahendra Singh received severe injuries and was shifted to a local corporate hospital for treatment where he succumbed to injuries.
The reasons for the attack on the businessman are not known and the police officials are investigating the case thoroughly. SP Aishwarya Rastogi along with Additional SP P Parameswar Reddy inspected the crime spot and directed the officials to get clues.
