Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) organised a special programme called Cloud Skills Day with the support of Amazon Web Services at A Convention Centre here on Wednesday. APSSDC MD K Sambasiva Rao and Amazon Web Services Education India head Sunil exchanged MoU documents.
On occasion, APSSDC managing director K Sambasiva Rao said that they had already provided short-term training to 30,000 students under Amazon Web Services. “We are aiming to provide skill training to the one lakh students in the next year. The main objective of the programme is to train the students to complete their education, improve other skills and get jobs successfully,” he said.
Minister for law and justice, skill development Kollu Ravindra said it was first-of-its-kind of programme to train students with Amazon support in the country. The state government is providing skill training to students and unemployed youth with large organisations like Siemens, Dassault, Google and Amazon across the state, he added.
The minister said the government was also providing training in aerospace, automotive and ship building and added that government was giving Rs 1,000 each as Nirudyoga Bruthi to 3,31,672 unemployed youth along with skill training in the name of Mukyamantri Yuva nestam scheme.
APSSDC deputy CEO Dr Krithika Shukla, special chief secretary J S V Prasad, special secretary Dr Ghanta Subbarao, founder member, D K Lakshmi Narayana other officials Vincent Quah, Alexa, Durga Prasad, Sunil and P Dasgupta were present.
