Anantapur: In a press release, the Department of Social Welfare called upon the traditional cobblers, who are having white ration cards and fall below the poverty line to apply for the monthly pension of Rs 1,000. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has issued a GO No 191 making traditional cobblers eligible for the monthly pension.

Cobblers, who are stitching foot wear manually only are eligible for monthly pension. They should be belonging to SC caste. The beneficiaries should be above 40 years of age. Prospective beneficiaries should apply through the MeeSeva centres with all the required documents.
