Visakhapatnam: An atrocity case was registered against Simhachalam Deveastanam Executive Officer K Rama Chandra Mohan here on Monday after a resident of VUDA Colony approached Fifth Town police station as the security guards of devastanam had turned down the parapet wall of the complainant.

According to police sources, D Sunil Kumar a resident of VUDA Colony near Madhavadhara in the city had constructed a boundary wall by encroaching the devasthanam lands.

In recent times after many allegations against the devasthanam administration regarding encroachment of temple lands, the administration had decided to protect their identified lands and their boundaries.

As part of that the devastanam security guards and administration members had informed the same to Sunil. He ignored their warning. On Monday, after arguments between the devastanam people and Sunil, the devasthanam security staff had removed the boundary wall which was constructed by Sunil in the devasthanam land.

Immediately Sunil Kumar approached Fifth town police and lodged an atrocity case against the devsatanam EO and staff. After knowing about the issue Simhachalam Devasthanam Executive Officer K Rama Chandra Mohan who is out of the city said that " There is no official communication neither from police or from our administration regarding the case s filed against him". While the administrative staff conduct regular checks on the lands and boundaries of the devasthanam lands as part of their security duties, he added.
