Guntur: Minister for Civil Supplies Prattipati Pulla Rao has said that if road safety and standards are followed, rate of road accidents will come down.

He addressed a meeting held in Chilakaluripet town on Thursday on the occasion of launching of Road Safety Oath Mobile App.

Speaking on this occasion, he suggested the road users to avail modern technology to check road accidents.

The district Collector, Kona Sasidhar said that they would conduct review meetings and take steps to check road accidents and felt that there was need to create awareness on road safety. He sought cooperation of the people to reduce road accidents.

Guntur Rural SP SV Rajasekhara Babu informed that road traffic increased 300 times in Guntur rural police district limits whereas road accidents increased one per cent in the district.

Earlier, they conducted a bike rally in which Prattipati Pulla Rao, Kona Sasidhar, Rajasekhar and others participated.
