Visakhapatnam: With a plenty of service activities including medical camps, distribution of essential commodities, cloths and other needs, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi grandly concluded the month-long celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 93 birth anniversary on Friday. Rededicating themselves, thousands of devotees took part in the hundreds of outreach programmes in the north coastal districts for the past one month.

While celebrating the birth anniversary of Sai Baba at Sri Sathya Sai Nilayam here at MVP Colony, the entire area resounded with Omkaram, Suprabhatham, Nagara Sankeerthana followed by Rudrabhishekam in the morning session.

The staff and students led by A Kausalya, Principal, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar have sung sarva matha (all religion bhajans for universal peace and harmony. Later, the devotees and office-bearers distributed sweets to various school students and fruits to patients in hospitals and inmates of Central prison. A mass Sri Sathya Sai Divya Vratham was performed at Prema Sadan Mandir by hundreds of devotees for universal peace and harmony.

Addressing the devotees and students in the evening programmes, Y Aravind, an alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prasanthinilayam, highlighted the essence of enormous love towards the mankind by Saibaba.

On the occasion, ‘Sri Sathya Sai Visista Seva Puraskar’ was presented to Prof P Somaraju, secretary, Gayatri Vidya Parishad. In his opening remarks, VR Nageswara Rao, Visakhapatnam district president, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, highlighted the service motto of Sai Seva organisations and special activities being rendered to the poor and needy.
