Visakhapatnam: As part of Navy Week celebrations, Eastern fleet ships INS Shakti, fleet support ship and INS Kirch, a missile corvette were open to school children at Visakhapatnam on Saturday. Over 1,500 students from 28 schools of the city and surrounding districts visited these ships.
The visit included guided tour of both the ships. Movies showcasing the might and role of armed forces towards national security were shown to the young minds. Additionally, career counseling was also undertaken during the visit to motivate the youth to choose armed forces as a career option. The ships shall remain open to students on Sunday.
