DGP Thakur suspends asst commandant over illegal affair

Tirupati: An Assistant Commandant from APSP Battalion at Mangalagiri P Naga Durga Prasad has been suspended by the DGP RP Thakur on Monday for illegal and indiscipline behaviour. He was caught red handed when he was having an extra marital affair with a housewife at Tiruchanur on Sunday.

He was caught by Prasad, who is the husband of that housewife and he took the intervention of Tiruchanur police in this regard. It was learnt that the officer got close to the family at Hyderabad where they were living. He promised Prasad a job in the Forest Department of the TTD and suggested them to relocate the family to Tirupati.

Even after several days, he could not fulfil his assurance but became closer to Prasad’s wife Dhanalakshmi following which she changed her treatment towards him. She even filed a harassment case against her husband.

Finally, he decided to end this episode and with meticulous planning exposed their extra marital relationship by taking Tiruchanur police to his flat. He later lodged a complaint in the police station. In this backdrop, the DGP has placed the officer under suspension.
