Visakhapatnam: Following the directions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the district administration has started a massive exercise to prepare a District Vision Document (DVD) clubbing all the government department’s action plans for the next five-years.

The State government has recently issued guidelines to prepare an integrated DVD considering a village as one unit and plans will reveal the development works at the village-level for the period of 2019-2014.

As part of long run and futuristic developmental plans, the TDP government directed the district administration to prepare a DVD revealing the projects, developmental activities for the next 10 years 2019-2019.

As part of the DVD, the district administration has been directed to prepare DVD for the first phase 2019-2014 before the March 2019. The government directed the district administration to prepare the document after consulting all the departments and their plans on multiple issues.

After acquiring the department-wise plans, a comprehensive DVD will be prepared considering the village as a unit. The document will be presented in the coming Janma Bhoomi village meetings to be held in the coming January.

After the discussions in the Janma Bhoomi meetings, there will be some revisions in the document, if necessary. Once the Janma Bhoomi gave its nod to the document, it will be sent to the government for an official approval.

“According to the government guidelines and directions, it was understood that the vision document will play a vital role in completion of works in the given time and releasing of funds to particular projects and works.

The public influential works including Food Safety, Housing, CC Roads, Sanitation, Drinking Water Supply schemes, ODF and Employment Generation are on the top priority while preparing the vision document.

The departments have to submit their plans and works for a period of five years,” a senior official told The Hans India. Meanwhile, the government also directed the officials to mention clearly the health, education and welfare departments plans. The district administration also directed the mandal and village-level officials to work on the DVD.
