Srikakulam: Family members performed last rites to deceased justice K Punnaiah at his native village Kavali in Santhakaviti mandal of Srikakulam district on Sunday. His daughter, former speaker and former minister K Pratibha Bharathi and other family members performed funerals to him with official respect.
Transport Minister K Atchannaidu, ZP Chairperson Ch Dhanalaxmi, Palasa MLA GSS Sivaji and other leaders attended. Speaking on the occasion, the leaders remembered the services of justice Punnaiah.
Large number of TDP cadres and people of surrounding villages attended the funerals. Punnaya served more for upliftment of weaker sections and poor people, the leaders recalled.
