Tirumala: Governor of two Telugu states ESL Narasimhan along with his spouse Vimala Narasimhan took part in the Pedda Sesha Vahana Seva, on the second day morning of ongoing nine-day Brahmotsavams in Tiruchanur, near here on Wednesday. JEOs KS Srinivasa Raju and P Bhaskar, CVSO Gopinath Jetti, temple Deputy EO Jhansi Rani and others were also present.

Earlier, Governor Narasimhan offered prayers in the temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala. Following the temple tradition, he first went to Swamy Pushkarini and then to Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy temple before visiting Tirumala shrine. He was accorded warm welcome with traditional Isthikaphal honours and received by TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal.

After offering prayers in the sanctum sanctorum, he was rendered Vedasirvachanam by Vedic scholars in Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later, the TTD EO presented him theertha prasadams, lamination photo of Lord along with 2019 TTD diaries and calendars.

Speaking to media outside temple, the Governor expressed his immense satisfaction of having darshan of Lord Venkateswara after a gap of one year. He said, after Maha Samprokshanam, the temple assumed a grand new look. He also lauded the efforts of TTD officials for their pilgrim initiative measures from time to time.

The new changes brought in the temple to showcase architectural marvel of the temple by removing glass and brass partitions has won the appreciation of the pilgrims, he added.
