Kakinada: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Eastern Offshore Asset (EOA) has dedicated bio-toilets to Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple, Annavaram for promoting mass cleanliness and also to help thousands of pilgrims thronging to the sacred shrine.

ONGC-EOA executive director Arvind Morbale has said that the organisation has donated Rs 19 lakh worth of two bio-toilets units to the temple. The toilets are fully bio-managed and environment-friendly. The bio-toilets having strong unitary steel structures which are easy to install, move and manage and these two can easily relocated.

“ONGC is having strong committment towards providing social uplift opportunities for the public and spending crores of rupees every year in this regard in East Godavari district. Swachh Adhyayan is one focussed mission and ONGC emphasises through its corporate social responsibility,” he added. Temple executive officer Marisetti Jitendra, ONGC officials A Armugam, BKV Rao, RS Prabhuji, V Rajan, R Shankar, Rajesh and Peela were present.
