Rajamahendravaram: People celebrated Subramanya Shashti fest with religious fervour and many people took a holy dip in River Godavari here on Thursday.
Serpentine queues found at all Subramanya Swamy and Shivate temples and the priests performed special poojas and Abhishekams to Lord Subramanya Swamy.
Many temples, including Subramanya Swamy temple at Korukonda road and Markandeya Swamy temple on Godavari bund were crowded with devotees.
In Biccavolu at about 50,000 devotees had the darshan of Kumara Subramanya Swamy and the temple management made necessary arrangements.
