Prakasam fencers selected for national championship
The Prakasam District Fencing Association announced that four players from the Prakasam district have a selected for the Under 19 Juniors National Championship, scheduled in the last week of this month
Ongole: The Prakasam District Fencing Association announced that four players from the Prakasam district have a selected for the Under 19 Juniors National Championship, scheduled in the last week of this month.
The district fencing association secretary V Nageswara Rao said that the players who received medals in the individual categories in the fourth state level championship, held in Bhimavaram of West Godavari from December7 to 9, are selected for the national championship.
He said that K Sandhya from Ongole and T Yaswanth from Tangutur are selected in the saber individuals’ category while AGVS Prabhath and KV Murali Krishna from Ongole are selected in the epee individuals’ category. He added that these players will participate in the 26th Juniors National Championship at Rudrapur in Uttarakhand from December 26 to 29.
The Praksam district fencing association president Balisetty Nageswara Rao, Prkasam district Olympic association general secretary Kurra Bhaskara Rao, Prakasam district chief coach K Yatiraj appreciated the players and coaches RS Chiranjeevi and G Bharath for selecting for the national championship.
