16.50 lakh to get Chandranna kits for X-mas, Sankranti
As many as 1650 lakh white cardholders will get Chandranna kits in East Godavari for Christmas and Sankranti festivals, said joint collector AMallikarjuna
Kakinada : As many as 16.50 lakh white cardholders will get Chandranna kits in East Godavari for Christmas and Sankranti festivals, said joint collector A.Mallikarjuna.
Speaking to media persons at the Collectorate on Thursday , the JC disclosed the details of distribution of these kits (gifts). He said that out of this 4.12 lakh Christian families will get the kits from December 22.
The JC also said that 12. 38 lakh will get Sankranti kits (Chandranna Kanuka) from 1 of January 2019 through PDS shops in the district. The total cost of this will be to the tune of Rs 2.97 crore, the JC said.
The JC said that each of these kits contain six varieties including cooking oil and ghee. East Godavari DSO P. Prasad Rao, DM of civil supplies N Jayaramulu were present.
