Vizianagaram: MVGR College of Engineering (A), Vizianagaram, celebrated National Mathematics Day on the eve of 131st Birth Anniversary of legendary Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on Saturday.
S Trinadha Rao, a teacher of Mathematics, ZP High School, Bhogapuram, has been the chief guest of the function and explained the innovative practices in teaching methods to the gathering.
Dr K V L Raju, correspondent of MANASAS and Principal of MVGR College, shared the importance of Mathematics and the inspirational life of Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The relevance of National Mathematics day has been shared by Dr Ch Purnachandra Rao, HoD of Mathematics.
Later the prizes were distributed to the top five rankers in the Intra Collegiate Quiz Competition – 2018 conducted in the college on the occasion of National Mathematics Day.
Dr Kalyani, Principal M R College, admin team members and HoDs of the department were present.
