Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) vice-chancellor Prof Ramakrishna Rao has said that a student of the university was selected to participate in Republic Day parade scheduled to be held in New Delhi.

Speaking to reporters in the campus here on Thursday, he said as many as five boys and five girl students were selected across the state for Republic Day parade and the university student Palla Nani is one among the students.

He was selected as contingent volunteer from National Service Scheme (NSS) of the university. Military training will be imparted from January 1st to participate in the parade. Later, he participate in the dinner hosted by President of India and Vice-President of India.

Palla Nani belongs to Bhavaam village of Jaggampeta mandal. Registrar Prof S Teki, rector Prof PS Varma and others also congratulated the student.
