Gantyada (Vizianagaram): Two people were killed and eight others injured when a speedy jeep hits an auto rickshaw in Gantyada of Vizianagaram district on Saturday. According to SI K Ramesh Naidu, the victims have been identified as G Nagalakshmi of Korlam village and G D Ramudu.
He said the mishap occurred when some daily workers and street vendors of this mandal were coming back from Vizianagaram after their working hours by an auto rickshaw.
When they reached Gantyada, a speedy jeep coming from S Kota hit and dragged the auto for some distance. In the mishap, G Nagalakshmi and G D Ramudu sustained serious injuries and died in the KGH, Visakhapatnam.
