Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu sees a conspiracy in the bifurcation of High Court. He says the division has come at a stage when the YS Jagan case has come to the trial stage.

Due to the division, the judge dealing with Jagan’s case will be transferred and the case will restart, so goes Chandrababu Naidu’s argument. He says there is a quid pro quo between Jagan and the BJP on this issue.

Chandrababu, who ardently supported the division of the High Court and also gave in writing that he would make the court building ready by December 31.

It is on the basis of this affidavit that the Supreme Court has ruled that the high court would be divided among the two states from January 1. Though he himself has given the assurance that the building would be ready by December 31, today Chandrababu is arguing that the Centre has not given enough time to the courts to shift.
