Vijayawada: As part of Ananda Lahari, Andhra Pradesh State Creative and Culture Commission organised a unique programme “Live painting performance for Annamacharya Keerthanalu” on Sunday evening at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College.
It is really worth to witness this live painting show of eminent philosopher and painter Kuchi, who is popular in Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel, with his devotional paintings.
Sunday evening, he sketched for the Annamacharya Keerthanalu rendered by G Sai Sravya, Ayyapan and Malladi Swathi. Audience thrilled with the instant sketches of Kuchi.
The concert started traditionally and rendered the most popular keethanas like ‘Bhavayami Gopala Balam’ in Yamuna Kalyani ragam, Tirumala giri raya’ in Mohana ragam, ‘Anni mantramulu inde avahinchenu’ in Amrutha varshini ragam, ‘Govindaasritha Gokula Brinda’ in Bridavan Saarangi ragam, ‘Magavulu nijamani nammedaa’ in Yamuna Kalyani ragam, ‘Phala netranala’ in Madhyamavathi ragam.
This concert was proficiently supported by D Veerabhadra Rao on key board, Kumar Babu on flute, Israel on tabla and Suresh on pads.
Singers Sravya, Swathi and Ayyappan impressed the audience with their melodious vocals.
Though the three artistes have different style of singing, due to their involvement and devotion the concert was very much impressive.
