Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmikantham on Tuesday inspected the arrangements made for the Republic Day celebrations to be held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium here on Saturday.
The Collector supervised the ongoing arrangements along with the police officials and others.
He directed the officials concerned to complete the works as soon as possible and gave a few suggestions for the flag hoisting place.
The flag will be hoisted by Governor ESL Narasimhan. He instructed the authorities to take appropriate steps to ensure that the stadium will witness a huge student gathering for the occasion.
