Amaravati: After AP bifurcation, The Congress party has lost its hold in the state. The national and state-level leaders are putting all their efforts in order to bring back the lost glory of the party. Learning from the 2014 election results, the party is carefully moving steps towards the 2019 elections in the state.

For the coming election, Congress party has invited the applications from the aspiring candidates. Briefing to the media APPC chief Raghuveera Reddy said that a total of 204 members have sent their applications for the Assembly segment and 31 has applied for the Parliament segment so far.

With Rahul Gandhi's 'minimum income guarantee act', Congress is going to remove the hunger of the poor people in the state, Reddy said.

In order to have the effective reach of the welfare schemes, it's necessary that Congress should be in the power at the central.

On this occasion, Raghuveera Reddy said that If the people of AP bless Congress with the power in the coming elections than we will waive off Rs 2 lakh loans of Dwarka group.

In the support of special status to AP, the Congress party is going to hold 'Praja Yatra' from 15th February. The Praja Yatra will begin from Anantapur district and will continue till Srikakulam district, he said.

The AICC president Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and other prominent leaders will be participating in the Praja Yatra, Reddy said.
