Former Union Minister and five times MP Y Kishore Chandra Deo alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah have no trust in democracy

Vizianagaram: Former Union Minister and five times MP Y Kishore Chandra Deo alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah have no trust in democracy.

He said the BJP-led NDA government was weakening all the premier institutions in the country. Deo met MP P Ashok Gajapathi Raju here on Monday and evinced interest in joining the TDP.

Later, speaking to the media, he said that he had a close association with Ashok Gajapathi Raju for several years. He said the present condition of the Congress party in the State is very pathetic and it has no future in Andhra Pradesh.

The former Union Minister said the TDP is in strong position in the State and it is in the hearts of the people. Deo said he would meet Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and join the TDP on February 24. He said it is very fortunate to work with Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

“We need to defeat the BJP in coming elections. Don't think that I joined the TDP for the MP ticket. If I wanted the ticket, i would have joined TDP in 2014 itself,” he said.
