Kurupam (Vizianagaram): CEO of Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives (Azim Premji Foundation) Anand Swaminathan suggested the farmers to adopt natural farming. Inspecting the remote villages of Kurupam and GL Puram mandals in the district, which are being cultivated under natural farming method, he said, “We should protect our lands, soil, water and environment from hazardous chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

The vegetables, fruits and grains produced through natural farming method are good for health and eco-friendly too.” Jattu Trust founder Dr D Parinaidu advised the farmers to use cow dung and urine to prepare green manure.

“This method will reduce the agriculture expenditure and bring good yield too,” he said. P Raghu and Julfiqar, senior managers of the foundation, applauded the farmers of Kondabaridi, a complete natural farming village and advised the other farmers to follow the footsteps of this village. They visited Gorada and some other villages of Parvathipuram agency also.
