Vijayawada: Consumer Forum president R Madhava Rao has said that feeding the hungry is a noble and holy cause.
Rao participated as the chief guest at the success celebration of ‘Amrutha Hastam Charitable Trust’.
He said that feeding the hungry should be taken up as a responsibility by the service organisations.
He appreciated the organisers of Amrutha Hastam for their initiation of collecting food and feeding the poor and hungry. He assured to help to the trust and even talk to the government on their behalf.
One of the trust directors N Sridha donated Rs 1 lakh to the trust in the presence of the forum president. The trust members and volunteers were felicitated on the occasion.
