Today, launched the much-awaited 2015 Verna in the Indian market in the price range of Rs. 7.74 lakh - Rs. 12.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Though it\'s not a new-generation car, it has received quite a handful of design and mechanical changes.
Today, launched the much-awaited 2015 Verna in the Indian market in the price range of Rs. 7.74 lakh - Rs. 12.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Though it's not a new-generation car, it has received quite a handful of design and mechanical changes.
Of all the exterior changes given to the car, the most noticeable is the new front fascia. The car gets larger projector head-lamps, redesigned bumper, dual-slat chrome grille, new boomerang shaped fog-lamps and a bigger airdam.
The rear profile, too, receives some cosmetic updates such as new LEDs on tail lamps, new reflectors on the bumper and a few others. The side profile, however, has received almost no change.
The car has received a few changes in the cabin as well like 1 GB internal memory with audio player, a slightly more comfortable rear seat with revised armrest with twin cup holder. The company has given an 'Ergo Lever' on the edge of the front passenger's seat that allows the rear passenger to extend the leg room by moving the seat forward or backward.

Besides offering some new features and slightly updated design, Hyundai has addressed the mechanical issues the old car had. The old car was always criticised for too-soft suspension and light steering, so the company, this time around, has tweaked its rear suspension and made the steering heavier than before. Therefore with a stiffer suspension and heavier steering, the car has certainly gone better in terms of driving.
The sedan continues to come with the same engine options - 1.4-litre & 1.6-litre petrol and 1.4-litre & 1.6-litre diesel. The transmission options on offer are - 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.
