Hyundai is calling the new CNG kit as DEDST (Dual ECU Dynamic Sequential Technology) kit. This can be installed on the Hyundai Xcent compact sedan and Grand i10 hatchback at the dealer level, though it will also be covered under the company warranty.

The brand new cars come with a two year or unlimited kilometres warranty. Apart from the new cars, existing car owners can also opt for this kit from the dealer as a retro fitment. These will be available only for the petrol variants of the Xcent and Grand i10.

Both the petrol Xcent and Grand i10 are powered by the same 1.2-litre Kappa engine that produces 71bhp of power and 100Nm of torque. This mill comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The new CNG kit is a sequential kit with separate injectors to deliver optimum gas flow to the engine.
