Delhi: Both bikes are already on sale in India. The BMW R Nine T retro classic roadster and BWM R 1200 GS flagship adventure tourer adorn the German motorcycle maker’s Auto Expo 2016 stall. Both products are already on sale in India.

BWM R Nine T
The R Nine T targets purists with its classic appeal and an ability to undergo a range of custom jobs. The minimalist styling is characterized by a circular headlamp, spoke wheels, analog instrument console and a funky tailpiece with pillion seat cover, Akrapovic exhaust and a hefty fuel tank with contrast padding.

The roadster is propelled by a flat twin 1,170 cc air/oil cooled engine which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox (with helical gears) to produce 110 PS at 7,550 rpm and 119 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.

A 46 mm USD fork upfront and a BMW Paralever mechanism at the rear constitute the suspension system. With standard ABS, the BMW R Nine T is a retro classic motorcycle with modern hardware.

With its immense road presence and top-notch equipment to take on the path less traveled, the BMW R 1200 GS is up there with the most capable two wheelers of the modern era. The adventure tourer shares its 1,170 flat-twin air/oil cooled engine with the R Nine T but dishes out 125 PS at 7,750 rpm and 125 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

The feature highlights include BMW’s unique Telelever front suspension system, fully adjustable rear Paralever suspension system, LED headlamps, cast aluminium wheels, BMW Integral ABS and optional Dynamic ESA and riding modes.
