New generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to be launched in India next year.Showcased as Suzuki World Car Concept back at the 2002 Paris Motor Show, the car which is popularly known as Swift around the globe is all-set to enter a new generation. Currently in its third generation, images of 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift (fourth generation) leaked online last week. These images were reportedly clicked at a dealer conference in Europe recently.
These images revealed the interiors and exteriors of new generation Suzuki Swift in detail. Based on these leaked images, our rendering artist – Pratyush Rout has created the front quarter of new 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift in hi-res images.

Expected to make global debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show later this year, new-gen Swift will be lighter, efficient and more powerful as compared to the existing Swift. The new 1.0 liter 3-cyl BoosterJet engine from Suzuki, which is rated at 110 PS and 170 Nm will also be offered with new Swift. Apart from this, existing 1.2 liter 4-cyl petrol motor and 1.3-liter diesel with SHVS tech could also be on offer.
2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift retains the basic shape but does come with dynamic updates. For eg, the front now gets a hexagonal honeycomb grille, LED DRLs with projector headlights, new alloys, rear door handles like that of Chevrolet Beat. Interiors get a new dashboard with colourful accents, adding to the car’s sporty character. It also gets flat bottom three-spoke steering wheel with new instrument panel with ambient lights, smartplay infotainment touchscreen system, etc.
Next gen Maruti Swift leaked
European launch of the Swift could take place post its debut in Paris, while in India, the new 2017 Swift can be expected by March 2017.India is the largest consumer of Swift hatchback in the world, with 45% market share.Speaking about price, new-gen Maruti Swift will be priced in the same range as current Swift, which is INR 5-8 lakh on road.
