Volkswagen releases teaser for new concept SUV

Volkswagen has released a set of teaser images for a new concept SUV that it will unveil at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show. Dubbed the most advanced SUV by VW, this new vehicle is expected to be a premium offering and gives us an idea of the direction in which the automaker is taking its future lineup.

It is expected to be a plug-in hybrid model whose combined output will be 376bhp and around 699Nm of torque, though the company has not specified the capacity of ICE and electric motor. The hybrid duo will have a fuel efficiency of 27kmpl while pure electric range is expected to be 50km. Other numbers available indicate a 0-100kmph time of six seconds and a top speed of around 233kmph.
