Wal-Mart to Unveil Online Sales in Guntur, Vijayawada. Wal-Mart India, the subsidiary of US-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc, will open its B2B e-commerce platform, bestprice.in, to members of Best Price modern wholesale stores in Guntur and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, from October 1.
Starting Oct 1, members of Best Price wholesale stores in Guntur and Vijayawada can shop and book orders online. As a virtual store, the e-commerce platform will provide a similar assortment of products as the brick and mortar stores
Hyderabad: Wal-Mart India, the subsidiary of US-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc, will open its B2B e-commerce platform, bestprice.in, to members of Best Price modern wholesale stores in Guntur and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, from October 1. With this, the e-commerce platform is now available for members of four Best Price stores across India. Earlier, the retail giant has launched the platform for members of the stores in Lucknow and Hyderabad.
Starting October 1, members of Best Price wholesale stores in Guntur and Vijayawada can shop and book orders online. As a virtual store, the e-commerce platform will provide a similar assortment of products as the brick and mortar stores including a select variety of fresh fruits and vegetables introduced recently.
“I am very excited to announce that we will now be extending our B2B e-commerce channel to members of Best Price stores based in Guntur and Vijayawada. Given the tremendous support from our members for this initiative, we will continue to extend this in a phased manner to our other stores as well,” said Krish Iyer, President and CEO, Wal-Mart India.
Prior to the launch, Wal-Mart India team will organize workshops for members in Guntur and Vijayawada to generate awareness on this initiative and also to create better understanding about the website navigation, benefits and registration processes.
