Homegrown mobile brand Micromax has launched Canvas Mega 4G phablet, priced at. Available with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display, it is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor.

It features 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage which can be increased to 32GB via a microSD card, a 13-MP rear camera and 5-MP front one for selfies.

The Canvas Mega 4G runs Android 5.1 and is equipped with a 2500mAh removable battery. It is a dual SIM smartphone with two Micro-SIM slots. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM and 4G.

“Phablet market has grown exponentially in the last quarter with over 200 per cent growth in the segment, with more than 70 per cent of new users in the age group of 15-24 years extensively streaming videos on their smartphones.
