Floats new unit GroWork; First business centre to come up in Hyderabad in Sept

Hyderabad: Kapil Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in financial services, hospitality, real estate, IT services, print and electronic media and renewable energy, is gearing up to mark its foray into the serviced office (or business centres) market, with its first such centre slated for launch at Gachibowli in Hyderabad in one-and-a-half months from now.

“Being set up in Kapil Towers under a newly-floated business unit christened GroWork, the business centre will have a floor area of approximately 23,000 sft with a capacity to seat 220. Right now, the interior work is under way. We are hopeful of starting the operations in the first week of September,” Srinivas Cingu, Executive Director of GroWork, told The Hans India.

The GroWork facility, the first business centre in the Gachibowli area dotted with sprawling campuses of IT biggies like Microsoft, CA Technologies, Capgemini, Wipro and Infosys, and Indian School of Business (ISB) in close proximity, will offer furnished, glassed-in plug-and-play office solutions, including front-office reception, private offices, co-working spaces, virtual office and a telephone-answering service where GroWork’s team will professionally handle its customers’ calls.

It will also offer facilities like cafeteria, common sitting areas, meeting rooms and video conferencing, and an industry-first ‘Business Lounge’, where customers can have quick meetings or hold full-day meetings for Rs 200 (per head) over a complimentary coffee.

“The idea is to support not just IT startups but also human resource (HR) firms who need space to conduct interviews, and established companies which need office spaces till the time they open their own campuses, at very flexible contract schedules starting from one month,” Cingu said, adding that between physical space and virtual offices, GroWork was expecting around 100 clients in due course.

Kapil Chits (Hyderabad) Managing Director D Vishnuvardhan Rao on Friday launched the GroWork logo, while Kapil Chits (Kosta) Managing Director J Raj Kumar and Kapil Business Centre Director Haritha Rao unveiled GroWork’s brochure and website, respectively.

A relatively new entrant into the serviced offices business, which is currently dominated by established players like Regus, Imperial Servcorp, The Executive Centre and Vatika Business Centre, GroWork’s uniqueness lies in its ‘business incubation’ model. “We are creating an ecosystem by inviting potential investors, including early stage and growth stage, mentors and legal experts, to provide a networking platform for startups to connect with them. Collaborations are already in place,” Cingu said.

Buoyed by the inquiries that the business centre is receiving, he said GroWork was planning to come up with more centres. “One more business centre is on the cards, for which we have already identified a suitable location in Hyderabad. We are planning to launch it in four months after the Gachibowli centres goes operational,” he added.
